Bloem and Helle-Tech Announce a Pioneering Partnership to Revolutionise Greenhouse Lighting in Finland
ShareShareShareShareShare

Helle-Tech Oy and Bloemteknik™ (t/a Bloem) announce a collaborative venture to introduce modular adjustable LED fixtures designed specifically for high wire and leafy green growers. Leveraging patent pending technology, the Balance Platform enables growers to increase PPFD on the vertical face of vine growing crops by up to 36%, without increasing energy consumption.

“Growers & academics agree that as a rule of thumb, a 1% increment in PPFD results in a 1% increase in yield,” commented James Fleet, Co-Founder of Bloem. “This announcement provides greenhouse growers with the tools to increase productivity whilst optimising cost-of-ownership.”

“By combining Helle-Tech’s expertise and experience together with Bloem’s innovative engineering, the partnership aims to redefine industry standards,” added Timo Helle, Managing Director of Helle-Tech. “This strategic alliance underscores a commitment to sustainability and technological advancement, offering growers a competitive edge in the evolving landscape of controlled environment agriculture.”

The Benefits

Enhanced PPFD & Improved Uniformity

Patent pending adjustable light-engines designed to increase PPFD by up to 36% on the vertical face of your vine growing plants and improve leafy green uniformity by up to 32% vs. standard manufacturer optics.

Reduced CAPEX

Patent pending adjustable light-engines enable fewer fixtures to be used vs. standard manufacturer, lowering capital expenditure.

Modular Design

Modular configuration enables every aspect of the solution to be customised according to the individual growers needs or preferences. Interchangeable modules enable growers to future-proof their investment by changing the spectra and / or upgrading to the latest LED chip efficiencies without replacing the fixture.

To see the Balance Platform fixtures which Helle-Tech is distributing in the Finnish market, please visit Helle-Tech’s booth U87 at the upcoming Lepaa tradeshow (Aug 15-17, Finland).
