(Wittaya), a global leader in data-driven solutions for aquaculture and terrestrial livestock, and Bangladesh-based Maverick Innovation (Maverick), an agri-innovation specialist, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate on offering cutting-edge support for the evaluation and commercialization of feed ingredients and additives for warm-water aquaculture and poultry production.
By joining forces, the two companies will empower businesses—ranging from emerging startups to established suppliers—seeking to introduce new or enhanced additives, feed formulations, and nutritional solutions to rapidly growing markets around the world.
In 2022, global aquafeed production surpassed 50 million metric tonnes, while poultry feed production reached 570 million metric tonnes in 2023. It is anticipated that the consumption of both will continue to rise steadily through 2030. Consequently, the demand for effective feed additives and quality nutritional inputs is growing rapidly. However, many companies with innovative technologies encounter significant challenges, ranging from regulatory compliance to market positioning and technical validation.
