SANLUCAR: exclusive production and export agreement with Sun World® in Ecuador
ShareShareShareShareShare

SanLucar, the leading supplier of premium fruit and vegetables, took a significant step in its international expansion. The company has signed an exclusive production and export agreement with Sun World®, a global leader in variety innovation and development. This collaboration focuses particularly on developing new types of table grapes, as well as other species and varieties for production in Ecuador.

SanLucar has worked intensively for many years to establish a sustainable and efficient agricultural model in Ecuador and is now setting another significant milestone with this agreement and its collaboration with Sun World®. Thanks to this partnership, SanLucar can now combine its extensive experience in production, development and marketing with access to high-quality genetic material, integrating an important preliminary stage of production into the process chain. In this way, the company’s commitment to the highest quality and innovative solutions in the fruit and vegetable sector is underlined.

Moreover, the collaboration will not only allow SanLucar to cultivate these varieties on its own farms but also grant sublicenses to other interested and capable producers within the framework of partnerships. This opens a new chapter for the fruit industry, especially in Ecuador, creating opportunities for joint growth and sustainable development.

By expanding further into Ecuador, SanLucar is strengthening its global production capacities, which are already established in Europe, Africa and overseas. As a result, customers worldwide have access to high-quality fruit all year round, with consistency, sustainability, and availability ensured.

“At SanLucar we strongly believe that innovative varieties and sustainability should go hand in hand. This agreement with Sun World® not only strengthens our position as industry leaders but also enables us to continue offering our consumers exceptional fruits, known for their great taste and grown in harmony with people and nature,” states Armin Rehberg, CEO of SanLucar.

This agreement clearly shows that we at SanLucar are not only on the right path, but are also committed to responsible, innovative and high-quality agriculture.
