The divestment of Munters FoodTech Equipment offering, initially announced on 9 February 2025, has been completed. As of 30 May 2025, ownership has been formally transferred to the new owner Grain & Protein Technologies. The divestment is in line with Munters strategy within the business area FoodTech to focus on digital solutions through software, controllers, sensors, and IoT.

“This divestment supports FoodTech’s development towards optimizing the production of food through data-driven solutions”, says Klas Forsström, CEO Munters. “We wish our former colleagues all the best in their new chapter when driving the next level of growth”.

Five production facilities across Italy, Germany, China and US, one assembly hub in South Africa, and three sales offices are included in the divestment. Approximately 400 employees operating across Europe, North America, Middle East and Southeast Asia are part of the divested business, which manufactures and sells ventilation equipment for customers within livestock farming and greenhouses.

The divested business generated net sales of about BSEK 1.9 in 2024 and has been reported as discontinued operations since Q1 2025.

Grain & Protein Technologies’ owner, American Industrial Partners (AIP), is a US based private equity firm investing in industrial businesses serving domestic and global markets.
