Professionals will find more than 30,000 square meters dedicated to products and services from the green sector from national and international companies. The event will take place at Feria Valencia from October 3 to 5.
International companies are increasingly interested in Iberflora. This is demonstrated by the data on registrations from foreign exhibitors, which have increased by 31% compared to the 2022 edition. The two countries that have experienced the greatest increase have been the two European leaders in the sector: the Netherlands and Italy, which have become the two foreign exhibitors with the most representation in this edition.
Specifically, the Netherlands has doubled its participation compared to the previous edition, while Italy has experienced a growth of 75% more than in 2022. This reflects the current market trend and positions Iberflora as one of the leading fairs in Europe.
According to the latest data published by the Spanish Federation of Associations of Fruit and Vegetable Export Producers (Fepex), during the first half of 2023, Spanish flower and plant exports to the Netherlands increased by 11%, reaching €74 million; and in Italy up to 13%, with €24 million. This is to be added to the constant work of the event organizers, who have been building bridges with foreign entities for some time or presenting Iberflora at other fairs such as MyPlant&Garden or IPM Essen.
An example of this is the agreement signed months ago by Iberflora and the Dutch entity GREENN to boost the presence of professionals from the leading ornamental market in Europe. This collaboration will materialize in the creation of an exhibition space for the Netherlands where the exhibitors from the country will be located.
Europe, America, and Asia at Iberflora 2023
The Netherlands and Italy are not the only countries that will be represented at Iberflora 2023. In fact, 26% of the exhibitors participating in Iberflora 2023 are foreign.
“These are very good data and demonstrate the growing interest of this fair in international companies. We are one of the leading fairs in Europe and this is reflected in the fair,” assures Máximo Solaz, director of Iberflora, who adds that Portugal, France, Turkey, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Costa Rica, India, and Belgium are some of the countries that will participate in the event, from October 3 to 5 at Feria Valencia.
Likewise, the Iberflora Business Club (IBC) program already has the participation of more than 120 international purchasing companies from Portugal, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Holland, Italy, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Panama, Romania, Andorra, Montenegro, and Japan.
In this way, Iberflora will exhibit the latest news in plants and flowers, gardening, technology, and gardening. This year, the organizers have also bet on offering new spaces, such as Green Contract for Horeca, which will showcase the latest trends in the decoration of hospitality and catering establishments where plants are the stars. They have also bet on giving visibility to the zero-kilometer trade with the Iberflora Agrotienda and on strengthening ties with the creators of content in the green world, the Greenfluencers, who will have their own space. In addition, the Espacios Verdes Urbanos return in their most special edition: it will be the prelude to celebrating that Valencia has been chosen European Green Capital 2024. A space that will attract technicians from the city councils of other European cities who want to learn about the Valencia project and replicate it to qualify for the prize in future editions.
