GROWMARK recently completed its move to a new corporate headquarters located at 1705 Towanda Avenue in Bloomington. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned with the McLean County Chamber of Commerce for October 17.
A little more than a year ago, GROWMARK’s purchase of the building from COUNTRY Financial was announced. Illinois Farm Bureau, COUNTRY Financial, and GROWMARK are all located on a shared campus east of Towanda Avenue in Bloomington.
GROWMARK and COUNTRY Financial both have rich histories with the Illinois Farm Bureau. The companies have worked alongside each other for more than 95 years to serve farmers and communities in Illinois and across the United States. Together, Illinois Farm Bureau (founded in 1916), COUNTRY Financial® (1925) and GROWMARK (1927) are committed to a strong, sustainable future in order to serve members and clients/customers into their second century of collaboration.
Today, GROWMARK employs around 498 employees at the Bloomington office.
“This new building represents an exciting page in our history as we begin looking toward celebrating our 100th anniversary. Just as exciting, this short move maintains our connection to the Illinois Farm Bureau campus, while enhancing our space to provide employees with a modern and efficient working environment. The benefits of our new facility will also help us provide greater service to our customers and position GROWMARK to continue to be a premier employer in the Bloomington-Normal community.” said GROWMARK CEO Mark Orr.
GROWMARK is an agricultural cooperative serving almost 400,000 customers across North America, providing agronomy, energy, facility engineering and construction, and logistics products and services, as well as grain marketing and risk management services. Headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois, GROWMARK owns the FS trademark, which is used by member cooperatives. More information is available at Growmark.com.
