Hanover is preparing to host Agritechnica, one of the world’s most important trade fairs for agricultural machinery, scheduled for November 12-18 at the German city’s trade fair facilities. It is an eagerly awaited event, not only because it returns after the postponement of the 2022 edition, but because all the major players in the industry are meeting here as always, ready to present their new products and services. A starring role has been reserved for ARAG, the company based in Rubiera (Reggio Emilia), a market leader in innovation, development and production of precision agriculture systems, recently acquired by Nordson, an innovative precision technology group.
“With the completion of the acquisition of ARAG – Victor Gottardi, Vice President of Nordson’s newly formed Precision Agriculture Division – the opportunities to implement and expand our research and proposal of ever more innovative solutions for an even broader market have significantly increased. From this point of view, Agritechnica is a key showcase and an ideal time for sharing our business development strategies. This year we are participating not only with the new corporate structure, but also with newer and more cutting-edge products and services, which we will present to operators and visitors at the huge Hanover Fair”.
Flowtron, from valve to system.
In the spotlight at the show will be first and foremost the system for complete control of crop protection machinery based on ISOBUS technology, which integrates the IBX100 control unit and the Flowtron valve (Eima 2022 technical innovation award).
IBX100 ISOBUS SPRAYER, through connection to the Flowtron ECU control units, can now drive the Flowtron valve to manage its pulse-width modulation (PWM). Therefore, the pressure remains constant and so is the drop size. In fact, thanks to this technology, targeted distribution in terms of position and quantity is possible, adjusting the flow and flowrate of each nozzle precisely, avoiding over- and under-application rates, for economic and environmental sustainability.
A new wiring architecture provides maximum modular features and simplicity in system installations for applications in spraying, weed control, and liquid fertilizer spreading.
The Flowtron system is the result of the study and design work done by ARAG to increase spraying efficiency by optimizing product distribution.
IBX100 ISOBUS MULTIROW, new features for multi-row sprayer control
The new software version of the IBX100 ISOBUS MULTIROW control unit, for multi-row sprayers, is expanded with a number of new features to ensure maximum versatility and effectiveness for even the most complex operating machines. In particular, we highlight the introduction of automatic row width management during spraying, also including a specific function for headland maneuvers, as well as new operating modes related to fan control management.
Mechanical position indicator for electric valves in Canbus
Gearmotors in Canbus for 863/873/862 series valves are designed to have constant feedback from the valve and thus facilitate its diagnostics.
This valve series will soon be available with an external mechanical indicator, which allows the valve pin position to be verified, facilitating diagnostic steps and thus reducing downtime and costs.
Uni Stream Ceramic, the nozzle for fertilizer spreading
Last but not least, on the booth at the German trade show, ARAG will present Uni Stream Ceramic, the nozzle designed specifically for liquid fertilizer spreading. Used on seeders, it enables optimal distribution in the furrow.
The unique bore and the precision of the jet, which remains constant as pressure changes, ensure smooth and highly effective fluid delivery.
